How much does Yo charge?
Generally, you can hire me from as little as £175 (inclusive of VAT) for an hour of magic, but the more hours you book me for then the lower my hourly rate works out. Times, dates and location affect my exact rate, but if you feel you won’t need me for a long duration contact me, I am flexible and if I have no bookings for the date needed then my rates maybe negotiable.
Which areas does Yo cover?
The majority of my work takes place within Bristol, but I regularly perform in the surrounding areas too, such as Bath, Gloucestershire, Somerset and throughout the South West
Can we try before we buy?
If you’re looking to book me for a fair duration say upwards of two hours, I may be available for a brief meet and demonstration of my skills. I’m Bristol based so if you happen to be in the area and would like to try before you buy, then please contact me and we’ll see what we can arrange.
Is Yo Insured?
Yes, for your peace of mind I am fully covered by public liability insurance to the sum of £2,000,000, with Maltings business insurance.
How do I make a booking?
You can contact me via telephone 07986 531450 Email firstname.lastname@example.org or Facebook. I am happy to answer any questions you may have. If you wish to book me then a booking contract will be sent to you confirming all the necessary details. All you have to do is sit back and relax, I will contact you a few days before the event and then the fun will begin.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Contact me as soon as you feel you’re interested, at seasonal times the sooner the better to avoid disappointment.
Does Yo require a performance area or props?
Absolutely none, I am a one man band when it comes to performing close-up magic. All the props I use are self-contained in my pockets or borrowed from spectators. I don’t need a specific space just point me in the right direction and off I go.
What props does Yo use to perform close-up magic?
I use cards, coins and borrowed objects. Finger rings, bank notes, rubber bands, bottles and cutlery. Basically common familiar objects and definitely no rabbits and no doves.
I am not a child's entertainer per se, but will happily perform close-up magic for children if they are attending the event, such as a wedding. I have a great selection of tricks for kids which can be the perfect thing to give the grown-ups a break.
How many people can Yo entertain?
I would say between 50-70 guests in an hour and up to 180 over two hours, depending on the crowd. I am basing this upon guests being sat around tables, for that type of set-up I like to offer a 7-10 minute show. Alternatively, if your guests are standing in a reception type situation I can mix and mingle in the same time frame.
